Well it's been a week in Ol’ Lake Nona.

And I feel like I'm right back home..... in Lake Crescent. Ha-ha no joke it's really not that different, only thing is there are more Spanish people. It's definitely a nicer area.

My companion is Sister Staten she's an angel. She is from American Fork. Really she's probably the nicest person I've ever met. I'm not worthy.

This week has been a little crazy.

Monday was heartbreak. I hated saying goodbye.

First to my district who (as you know) I love with all my heart:

They have taught me so much; they were all wonderful examples to me And I got to be with two of the sisters I've trained. It was a dream. So we played our last round of Ultimate dodge ball.

Second to my people:

Jess and Leslie took me to get ice cream. At first Jess wouldn't sit at our table, so I went over and sat with her. K.G. (of course) had my I-Pad and caught the heart breaking moment

Jess told me it was really hard for her to have me leave because at first she did not want to get to know me at all. But then we became like Sisters.

Ah I just… No.. It was so heartbreaking. Then Leslie is crying, and Jess is holding me sobbing. And my little girls are hung over the table sobbing as well. I felt like a monster for leaving.

I will continue to email them, write them. Bug them everyday after the mission, because my mission with them is not over. And as Leslie says "we're family now."

Then I said goodbye to Lou and Jason. Also sad.

And had dinner with the Lowry family, Brother Lowry has made such a difference in my mission. He reminds me of Dad, he has such a quite dignity about himself. And he's always looking to serve.

I'm really struggling to even put into words how much I love these people. I guess some stories are just better told in person... and you'll have to wait a bit.

Third to my companion:

I love my dear Sister Schomaker with my whole heart. She's grown so much. She has the strongest desire; she's so hard working. She will do amazing things the rest of her mission.

Lake Nona has been great so far! Still getting to know everyone and everything and it was a super busy week.

So I'll probably just tell you more about the people when I know more about them.. ha-ha but I love them already.

We had lots of planning this week,

Sister Staten and I cover two zones. So we are serving in the Hunters Creek Zone, but we also cover the Orlando South Zone Sisters. Which means we have about 7 sets of sisters. We had to plan with both Zone Leaders for Zone training meetings we have next week. We plan these meetings off of things we learned at MLC. Which is a meeting with President, the assistants and all the Zone Leaders and STLs in the mission, which we had this week. And it was amazingggg. We covered a lot on work ethic and diligence. I learned so much.

Because of the busyness of this week and next week we will have to be doing a couple of exchanges a week. So that's just a forewarning that stories are going to come from my area and others.

Okay now….CONFERENCE!

Wasn't it amazing? Didn't it just fill your soul?

I loved in particular Elder Anderson’s talk and how he shared a few lines from Elder Hale.

"Our faith permits us to stand in the presence of God."

I'm so excited to follow the Council of our leaders and study in greater depth the conference address.

Some things I got out of Conference is that the Book of Mormon is true, and really you can't disprove it. Even with logic ha-ha. But ultimately you'll never know it's true without the spirit, and also that we are not asked to be perfect, but to try and strive to be more like the Savior. We should serve, not only the world, but also our neighbor and we should constantly examine our lives and put on the “alter of sacrifice” things that don't draw us closer to the Savior.
