Where are you Christmas: Week 45

Studying Outside
Why isn't it Christmas all the time. This is a question I ask myself often, particularly when I'm listening to the MOTAB Christmas album.
Out to dinner

1.    Okay so can't remember if last week I mentioned that I was freaking out a bit about Leslie and Jess because of some things they read on the internet. Well this week we went over 2 of the major commandments (Ya know the big ones) and it went amazing, better than I ever expected. And they committed to living them both. It brought out some amazing conversations. Regardless of what happens I have seen those two change more on my mission than any one else. And I mean I've seen real changes, it's been so cool to just be a part of it
2.   We had Zone conference this week and it was amazing! Always fills my cup, we focused on applying all the principles and trainings we have gotten throughout the year.

3.   On Wednesday we went to Daytona State College and we got to set up a table in the cafeteria. Ah it was exhilarating. Nothing like anything I've done on my mission so far. But even though people my own age terrify me, they were all really cool and super open to listen. So we're doing it weekly with the Daytona Elders.
Exchanges
4.   We met a couple of new people this week that we are super excited about! I will give you more information as they start to progress.
5.   Everyone... everyone.. thinks my companion and I are twins or sisters. Random people come up to us and ask us if we are, which.. hey no complaints because then conversation already started it's just super funny.
Sisters or sisters?

Spiritual experience from this week:

  •  Thursday I was feeling a little ill, but nothing to serious. Friday morning we woke up and we went on a run, on the way back to our apartment I was in a lot of pain. I busted in our apartment door as fast as I could and immediately fell to the floor, no matter what position I switched to the pain wouldn't stop. My poor companion had no idea what to do. I was sweating and gagging, everything was blurry. I ran to the bathroom and shut the door and lay by the toilet. In that moment I said probably one of the more sincere prayers of my life. I was begging, sincerely begging for Heavenly Father to take away the pain. But nothing changed, so I went and fell on my bed and instead asked if Heavenly Father could just help me to fall fast asleep so I could forget the pain. At this point the pain was almost terrifying. But I immediately fell asleep. 30 minutes later I woke up, no trace of pain. Just enough time to get ready and on time for studies. That was one of the greatest tender mercies. For whatever reason, I think whatever I was going through was suppose to last a lot longer but Heavenly Father was merciful to me. I was able to work effectively for the rest of the day, and I haven't had the pain since. I just remember in the moment feeling like I knew exactly who to run to, that was my Father in Heaven. I just wanted his comfort and his peace. And even though I would have really liked to have my mom there with the amount of pain I was in, I was grateful it was just me and Him.
I challenge you to read John 8. It's an amazing chapter if you read it with the intent of seeing Christ's love.
